| What a joke  Apparently he's looking to lower the natioanl minimum wage in NI, Wales and the North of England to only four pounds something. And at the same time increase the minimum wage in London to six pounds ninety odd. How can you have a different minimum wage in different parts of the same country/kingdom! | |

| Was on the NI news last night.
The NI Minister for Jobs etc said he would fight it, but not much he can do becasuse the minimum wage is still set and controlled by West Minister.
And if they have a different minimum wage in different parts of the country, it's no longer a national minimum wage is it !
The thing is though, if the minimum wage falls, that will have a knock-on effect and all jobs in these parts of the country will see a drop in wages | |
