The end of the month is nigh and in true Gallery fashion it’s a biggun to wrap things up on Friday 28th November!! Sander van Doorn is in town and back at his London home of The Gallery over at Ministry of Sound. Not content with the Dutch superstar we have assembled fellow resident and leading lady of Faithless, Sister Bliss, new Slovenian talent Marcus Schossow, Germany’s next big thing Andrew Bennett, friend from over the Atlantic Steve Porter, new kid on the block Will Bailey and legendary talent Nicole Moudaber among many others for this huge end of month celebration. It just would not be the end of the month without a proper blow out!!
Sander van Doorn has emerged as one of the biggest DJs on the planet in a short space of time; it only seems a little while ago he was making his debut in the UK at The Gallery where he has remained a resident ever since. Having hosted his album launch earlier this year as well as Sander van Doorn month in April 2007 (where he played every week for 4 weeks!) we are proud that Sander calls us his home in London and he remains the truly down to earth lad we first met many moons ago. One thing that hasn’t changed in that time is his ability to smash the living daylights out of The Gallery main room and the world class sound system and surroundings of the Box at Ministry of Sound provide Sander with ample room to do just that. One of the highlights for us at this year’s SW4 festival if you have yet to witness the man who is Sander van Doorn then there is no better time or place then right here, right now! Do it!!!
Joining the bright young star is one of dance music’s biggest and most respected figures; resident at Turnmills even before The Gallery was dreamed up we are proud to welcome Sister Bliss once more to the hallowed ones and twos. A true legend of the scene, Bliss has been busy of late putting the finishing touches to the brand new Faithless album which will be unleashed in 2009 as well as releasing her recent mix compilation ’Nightmoves’. A DJ who never fails to impress, Bliss was recently interviewed at length by Pete Tong on his Radio 1 show where she waxed lyrical about The Gallery’s new home at The Ministry of Sound… praise indeed!! Returning for his third outing at The Gallery this year (after making his debut way back in March) Marcus Schossow touches back down fresh from a mad summer of worldwide touring, video podcast diaries and a release schedule to rival the biggest and best. We told you to watch this chap and boy oh boy were we right… one of the next big things Marcus is perfectly suited with his sound to do some serious audio damage in the Box alongside fellow producer wiz kid Andrew Bennett. Hailing from Germany and a consistent producer of huge tracks over the last few years Andrew is signed to legendary producer M.I.K.E’s Club Elite label and we are delighted to welcome him for his long overdue Gallery debut… bring it on!! Rounding off the Box is Gallery resident The Viceroy whilst Matt Weeks is charged with warming it up and getting the night off to the perfect start.
The Bar this week welcomes an array of talent including a welcome return visit for Steve Porter who smashed the place silly on his last outing. He will no doubt be showcasing his unique Porterhouse sound which has won him legions of fans the world over including A-list DJs such as Sasha and Paul van Dyk. Next up is rising talent Will Bailey, having played at The Gallery on several previous occasions the Birmingham based DJ/producer has continued to make serious waves. One half of production outfit ‘Twocker’ he continues to be a popular and in demand figure with an international gig diary stacked high and an ever growing discography of heavily supported house bombs! Check him out! No stranger to the Gallery family Nicole Moudaber has continued her rapid ascent as a DJ/producer with recent releases becoming staple tracks for the likes of Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Hernan Cattaneo, Valentino Kanzyani, Ivan Smagghe, Ewan Pearson, DJ Vibe, Funk D'Void, Roger Sanchez and Danny Howells among many more. Recent remix work had included BFE’s ‘I Got Cash’ on Azuli, OrtZoka’s ‘Midnight’, and the seminal anthem ‘Muzik Xpress’ by X Press 2. Returning to the Bar tonight the line-up is rounded off with the addition of Mark Landragin on warm up duties.
The Baby Box welcomes Thirsty Disko and their line-up of DJ Chewy, DJ Moody, Eddy K, Jnr J. Fox, Darren Craig, Bachelor Burkle, Digital Pimpz and Da Real Tony Montana whilst the Lounge plays host to Filthy Dirty with Chris Smooth, Kids Of Funk, Ross Williams, Twista, Matt G, De–Hornet, Mike Younger, Ken-E-Boy and Rob Jackson.
